Women in Politics?

First off what the hell is the problem with women in politics. I personally don't have any problems with it if the person is qualified. Oh yeah and when has Sarah Palin been running for President. I had a confrontation with family this weekend. (Imagine that me and confrontation)
I have a family member who has a son with Down's Syndrome. Her excuse was "I know what they went through how is she gonna raise her kids." My response is family will help. I have an aunt that moved closer and helps them greatly. Why is there such a double standard. I get a similar double standard when some women find out I am raising my kids as a single parent. That's all I can take for now.

The sexually item was a box of Tampax Tampons. The box has an image of a Pearl necklace on it. My question was "Do all women want a pearl necklace?" Her response of course women want the necklace but don't want to put up the hoohaa. They do? Then said think about the other pearl necklace. Got the big OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH. No all women do not want that.

Odd look at things in the grocery store

Today I had to do the chore I really don't care for. Grocery shopping. Not meeting any women there so still don't like. But today took an interesting twist. Have any of you actually took a different look at the items on the shelf. First on the list Digestive Health Raisin Bran. I never knew the regular Raisin Bran wasn't good for you. I thought bran was pretty much for digestive health. Apparently not. I case you were wondering the difference. All I could see is 1 extra gram of soluble fiber. So is it possible it also tastes a little more like card board? The next item multi grain cheese puffs. What is wrong with the people. To quote a friend "people eating healthy and really concerned about, probably wouldn't be going down that isle anyways." The last thing was a non assuming bag of Gold Fish crackers the flavor is what caught my eye. Explosive pizza flavor. I'm sorry but the word explosive should never be used with food. Please refer to the first item. The actually last item carried too many sexual overtones to be mentioned.

A quiet night at home.

Well it's been a long time since I have actually stayed home on a Saturday night with no kids. Had some plans but cancelled them and went out for a while. Been kind of moping around the house tonight bored. Kind of odd without the chaos of the children being around. On a normal no kids weekend I'm usually out till all hours with me car buddies causing hate and discontent on the roadways. On the flip side of the coin, it has been kind of a nice quiet evening with me and the dog. Just watching the Texas football game. But there is that part of me that can't wait till the kids come home.

It's school time again

It was great this morning. My boy went back to school today. He was so excited he actually got up early, even before me. Had to tell him he had 3 hours before the bus came. He also got to feel like one of the big kids and not a kindergartner. His daycare lady and myself were coaching him for a week to make sure one of the kids at his daycare got off the bus at the right stop. He had a great day got to see friends and was psyched to be back at school.

Protests

What the hell is wrong with you people. Love how a peaceful protest turns into mayhem and window breaking. You all deserve what you get. And who said it was ever a good idea to argue with a guy that is wearing the equivalent of a goalie suit carrying a big stick a tazer and the industrial size can of pepper spray or is it whoop ass. I don't know I guess it depends on which side of the street your on.

Day 9

Well it's day 9 and no smokes. The commits are doing there job. Just use them when the craving gets to be a little too much. I'm still goin strong.
